1972 Stimson Safari Six

Stimson Safari Six

A Stimson Safari Six on the 1991 'Italian Job' Charity Touring Event

From the prolific drawing board of Barry Stimson, although only in his early twenties.

He designed and built the moulds together with a prototype, single-handed, in only a few short weeks.

Underneath the attractive fibreglass bodywork is a spaceframe chassis, a Mini front subframe and engine,

together with two sets of Mini rear trailing arms.
This particular car is a Mk 2, one of only three made and was the last car to be moulded before Barry

sold on the project that sadly, was never seen again. - He unfortunately became bored with projects quickly.

Approximately 5 examples of the Six were built in total.
